FAQs
Q: What is required to ship a pet?
A: A valid health certificate from a veterinarian that covers the pet’s dates of travel. All puppies must be at least 8 weeks of age to travel and be current on vaccinations. We also prefer you send (2) 1 gallon size ziploc bags of their current food as changing their diet can upset their stomach resulting in diarrhea. We provide everything else.
Q: What is the difference between a private and a shared ride?
A: A private ride means only pets going to a single client are on board and this is a direct route. The delivery time is much faster but also costs more for this service. A shared ride means there are pets on board being picked up and delivered to multiple clients along the route. This is NOT a direct route.
Q: How will the transporter communicate with me during the route?
A: Each client will be updated 2-3 times a day. Mostly mornings, mid day, and evenings. Our transporters will take pics and videos daily of each client’s pet and send them via text message. If you have a question during the route, you can call or text your transporter and they will help you. Please keep in mind though as they are caring for multiple pets involving exercising, feedings, and cleanings, and focusing on driving. In some states, it is illegal to have a phone in hand while driving, with all that in mind, it may be a 4-6 hours before you get a response as we stop every 4-6 hours to care for pets.
Q: Can we track your GPS location?
A: Unfortunately we do not offer this service for the safety of all client’s pets and our drivers.
Q: Are the animals left alone in the van overnight?
A: No, our transporters sleep in the van. In the case they do get a hotel, they will alternate nights and take turns for who sleeps in the van and who sleeps in the hotel room. This helps our drivers take turns getting better rest so they are safe when driving long hours. We always run with a 2 driver team unless we have fewer than 5 animals on board.
Q: Do you deliver door to door?
A: Yes. We deliver directly to you unless it was setup to be delivered to a meeting location or if any location is too remote where our transport van can not reach, we would then ask to meet at a reachable point.
Q: How do I fill out your contracts?
A: All of our contracts are able to be filled out on our website by the link we give you and signed with an e-signature.
Q: Does anybody need to be home at time of pickup or delivery?
A: Yes.
Q: How do I pay?
A: We require half of transport fee paid upfront before route starts and rest due at delivery. Initial payment is accepted via PayPal, Venmo, or by debit/credit card over the phone with a processing fee. Last payment can be made by all above methods or cash. We do not accept personal checks. Sorry.
Q: Do you have any reviews?
A: Yes. We have many reviews by searching our name on Google and on our Facebook page.
Q: My pet needs medicine administered during transport, are you able to administer them?
A: Yes, as long as the meds are prescribed by a vet, we will follow the instructions on the medication.
Q: I’m on a tight schedule of availability for pickup or delivery time, can a time of pickup or delivery be guaranteed?
A: Unfortunately no unless using our private transport service. With a shared transport, many factors can play a part in causing delays such as waiting for clients to be home at time of pickup or delivery, weather, and traffic. However, when we get within a day of the pickup or drop off, we can give an estimated time frame.
Q: Will my pet be let out with other pets during transport?
A: No. We let all pets out individually and crate them individually unless the pets came from the same household and are bonded where they are more comfortable crated together.
